Jennings Racing Team

The Jennings Racing team started in 1965 with Tom Jennings. Tom started racing an FJ Sedan in what was called the Open Class division, now called Super Sedans. Tom moved on to the LJ Torana (pictured below) after the FJ's. Tom won a Queensland Title racing a flying FJ Holden in 1971 at the Brisbane Exhibition grounds.

Tom, and his wife Janette, passed on their enthusiasm for racing through their son. Allan Jennings started racing in 1980, driving a LJ Torana in the Open Class division (changed to Super Sedans in 1984). Although no-one remembers who came second, we remember he came third in the 1985 Queensland Super Sedan Title in Mackay.

The Jennings Racing Team welcomed Allen Nottage to the team in 2001, racing a TE Cortina in Street Sedans. Allen is the workshop foreman at Gold City Landrover Spares and Repairs. Allen moved up into the VS Commodore in 2007.

Allan has two children, Tegan and Bradley. Tegan started in QSCA Junior Street Sedans in 2005, whilst Bradley started in 2006 - both of them starting racing the handed down TE Cortina. Tegan is now driving a VZ Commodore in Street Sedans and Bradley is driving a VS Commodore in Junior Street Sedans.
